Halia is located on the crossroads of existence, healing, and perpetual growing pains. A stout self-awareness advocate, Halia urges all of us to find who we are and the best ways we can integrate these aspects into creating a better society. Through our hands we are birthing new worlds every day while grieving the deaths of the worlds we’re leaving behind. We are all myth-makers; our words have power.

Her current quest is to answer: How can we deviate from harmful distortions built upon exploitation and escapism; to immerse ourselves in new worlds?

Humans are repetitious creatures. The wisdoms we’ve been given are prone to atrophy and expiration if left un-practiced. Halia is dedicated to revival, respect, and remembrance of lessons once left behind while adding new aspects from this modern era along the way. Her goal is experimentation or bust.

How can we make small modifications to our daily programming that when stacked together create large improvements to our world? As individuals contributing to a larger collective space?

Halia [Hah-lee-ah] means loving those who are no longer with us. Ganotise [gah-no-tee-see] is a familial surname gifted to me by those who came before.

Meet The Author: Halia Ganotise

A smiling pale hawaiian woman with purple hair and red lipstick, wearing kakakui nut and cowerie necklace and hibiscus print dress. She's sitting outside near ferns with a book; 'Socialized Neither Living Contradictions' by Halia Ganotise in her lap.
Hello Lovelies,
I want to clarify I’m not self-made. I’ve had a lot of help creating this book. The hardest lesson to learn was allowing people to help, to love, and to believe in me. At first I felt like I didn’t deserve it. Then I feared the pain I was taught love brings. Neither were true. I’ll be five years sober October 31st, 2026. I’m living in a home I cherish; learning what it means to feel at peace. I’m now an author. All three of these things are something I once thought impossible. Never give up.
Keep stumbling vaguely that way!
Halia
